N.S.S. (NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME)
The overall aim of N.S.S. as envisaged is to give an extensive dimension to the higher education system and orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational Institution. The educated youth who are, expected to take the reins of administration in future are found to be unaware of the problems of the villages slum community and, in certain cases are indifferent towards their needs and problems. Therefore it is necessary to arouse the social conscience of the students, and to provide them an opportunity to work with the people in the villages and slums. It is felt that their interaction with the common villages and slum dwellers will expose them to the realities of life and bring about a change in their social perception. College has been sanctioned N.S.S. Scheme by the University and college organizes various programmes under this scheme, which includes special winter camps. Tree plantation, blood donation, fund raising for drought affected people, orphans etc.
Legal Aid Clinic
Under the financial assistance from the Govt. of Maharashtra, we have set-up a separate centre of “Legal Aid Clinic”. It provides free legal aid and assistance to the poor and needy people more particularly spreading legal literacy among various groups of people, specially illiterate people and semi-literate people. We organize, seminars & symposia on current issues for which eminent scholars, leading lawyers, Judges, Social-workers are invited for guidance. Participation in Legal Aid Programmes is compulsory for the students. The college in association with District Legal Service Authority, Ahmednagar trained 50 students as para-legal in order to enable them to work in rural areas. Information Centre The college has established a separate Information Cell by installing 20 computers with broad band Internet faculty. Students can have access to Law software such as Manupatra Law Super, Supreme today other websites relating to law. This facility will give an opportunity to students to browse information relating to Legal Knowledge. We also are planning to avail services of persons who are well versed in Legal Process Outsourcing (L.P.P.) Placement Cell and Career Services Recognizing the requirement of the corporate sector and law firms for well trained graduates of law, the placement cell acts as a liaison between the students of the college and the corporate & Legal Sectors. The placement cell promotes students interests, providing them opportunities to work with leading Law Firms, Lawyers, Non Governmental Organization and the Corporate World.
